 Background of the VaBe®-System

„VaBe-System® is different from other concepts because it takes outfit and appearance into consideration and the technique is not the most important thing. But technique is the effective way to show your emotion or to communicate effectively“ Elena Tecchiati

VaBe-System® is based on different theories, models and methods, that comes from different disciplines:

  • Social psychology (e.g. Social Facilitation, First Impression Bias)
  • Emotion psychology (e.g. emotions und evolution theory by Darwin)
  • Communication psychology (e.g. symbolic interactionism, Systemic-Interaktionism by Watzlawick, Uncertainty Reduction Theory)
  • Organisation psychology (e.g. Motivation, Leadership-Theories)
  • Sociology (e.g. Impression Management)
  • Systemic Coaching (e.g. the types of questions)
  • AAP® (Phonation adapted tot he breathing rhythm by Coblenzer-Muhar)
  • Breathing technique by Dr. Parow

These are the most important assumptions in this method:

  • Behind every communication situation there is a purpose
  • We form the reality in our communication
  • Our voice exudes more messages than just the verbal message we say
  • You can train your voice depending on your goals and purposes

  • You can train the coherent and harmonious interaction between voice and
    body
  • Everybody learns the most about him/herself comparing self-perception
    and how others see him/her
  • Body language has a weakening or intensifying action on feelings
  • Emotions, moods and motivation are related
  • Nonverbal and paraverbal communication have influence on the the communication partner (listener) and on the speaker
  • Every communication situation is reflexive: words have influence on the
speaker and on the communication partner
  • You cannot not communicate (by Watzlawick)
  • People want to be taken into consideration when you talk to them
  • Actractiveness increases your credibility
  • If you feel comfortable you can communicate better and more effectively
